| In April 2004, a group of eight including myself became the first ever batch of Hong Kong divers to dip into the waters of Wakatobi. Wakatobi is situated in a remote archipelago at the Tukang Besi Marine Reserve in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The water is very clear and the coral reef system is totally pristine. Macro life is abundant including three species of pigmy seahorses. On the other hand large marine animals like sharks, manta, tuna etc are rare at least in the dive sites we visited. For photographers this is a place for macros and reefscape shots. |
