His pictures won him several prizes in the 1997 Hong Kong Underwater Photographer competition, including 2nd Runner-up in the Portfolio Category, and 2nd and 3rd Runner-ups in the Underwater Portrait Category. His work has been displayed in Ocean Park (HK) and New York Aquarium (NY), and his diving articles and photos have been published in Sport Divers Journal and Diver magazines in Hong Kong. Samuel is an amateur underwater and nature photographer. He started photographing underwater while scuba diving in Hawaii in 1993. Since then
he has travelled extensively to photograph different areas of the underwater world including coral reefs of the Maldives, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Palau, Yap, Saipan, Papua New Guinea, Australia, the
Caribbean Sea, and the West Coast of North America.
