Karl Lung's diving story

My first diving experience was in December 1993. I was on vacation in Phuket. The resort that I stayed has the discover scuba, which is no more than taking you down to dive in the swimming pool for about 30 seconds.

However, that was enough to impress me. It was much easier than what I though. When I came back to Hong Kong, I immediately took a diving course. I then went to Bohol during Chinese New Year and got my PADI open water diving license.

Even before I dive, I was already impressed by the color of the sea and the amazing life forms. I borrowed my uncles's Nikonos IVA with me even when I was still on the diving course. During the next six years of diving, I almost brough along with me a camera on every dives. I now typically use the Nikonos V for wide angle and the Sea & Sea FX-90 Pro husing for macros.

I treat diving as lesure. I always make sure every trip is a relaxing one, and I rarely go for trips that last more than two weeks. That's the way I enjoy diving.
