The purpose of this site?
The purpose of this site is to provide a common area for Hong Kong divers to share their photos with others. We hope this can help increase the interaction among Hong Kong divers in this common area. Divers will know each other better and can share their diving experience. We believe this can also raise the interest in underwater photography, as the site will bring closer between the beginners and the experienced.
By reviewing the amazing beauty of the ocean, we hope this will stimulate non-divers' interest to explore this underwater world, and help promote recreational diving. We also believe that after seeing the wonderful life forms in the water world, people will be more aware the importance to preserve our ocean.
Is this a commercial site? (Top)
No. This site is NOT a commercial site. This site is just for interest and involves no commercial activities of any kind. No money is charged for displaying photos here, nor are any money paid to the photographers who display their photos here. All people contributing to this site are on voluntary bases.
The links to some commercial organisations are for the pure purpose of visitor convenients. Any people who are interested in conducting any commercial activities with any organizations or persons appeared in this site please do so directly with them.
Who can put photos here? (Top)
Anyone who has photos with resasonable quality can submit their photos to be showned here. Although the main purpose of this site is to serve divers in Hong Kong, we also take photos from people who do not live in Hong Kong. We also accept, on selected basis, non-diving photos provided the topic is related to nature. Please contact the webmaster on how to submit your photo. We reserve the final decision on whether the show any photos or not.
Are the photos digitally edited? (Top)
Yes. But most of them are limited to adjusting focus, sharpness, contrast, tone curve, color etc. We will not perform any major digital editing work for any photos unless that is specifically requested by the original photographer.
We don't want to put down the lengthy legal statements. We just ask people to use common sense. All photographs and articles in this site are the original work of the photographers and authors. You may download these as long as they are for private personal use. For any other use, please contact the original photographers and/or authors for permissions, who may or may not charge a fee for the usage.
